Friday, December 31, 2004 ::: so it's been a while. since early December I decided maybe I should stop writing for a while - especially when life was all about studying for the exams my complaining and whining wouldn't do any good to anybody anyway one exam after another, it almost seemed impossible but I knew it would all end sooner than I'd realize it's over and it did. 23rd was liberation day, and from that day onward I've been practically out every single day, meeting up friends and catching up as much as I could the first thing I did was getting myself CDs. Finally got my hands on Sixpence's Best of collection. I wish I'd discovered them sooner. They're such a great band. Talk about songs that really carry some depth and that can really move you. 20 bucks for a Fleetwood Mac album was a real bargain, and so I got that too. A few exceptional numbers made it worth getting. Switchfoot was a slight regret, but I could finally do things that I enjoy doing the most - hanging out with friends, listen to music when I'm at home, chill in the morning and spend the nights watching movies on my DVD player. and I call that a real vacation and revival season. then came the news. Heartbreaking tragic news that came on boxing day. I spent some more time with friends and family, all in a sudden those moments meant so much more. Take nothing for granted. Just like how I should be so grateful that I arrived safely today after a red minibus ride today. That's 'crazy taxi' put into reality. And I don't even think I'm elaborating the situation. 1st Janurary, 2005. nobody knew when exactly 2005 came. same TV, 4 countdown sites, 4 different sets of countdown meter. Oh well, who cares, 2005 came, it's time to make a wish. While I spent the first few seconds of 2005 watching the dumb TV show and that's nothing I can call a spectacular new year celebration, I know everything that I'm having is the greatest celebration itself. New year isn't time to make bold plans anymore. It's 2005, but traces of 2004 are still there, too painful to recall but too big to ignore.
